Gehan Homes raised $22,250 for Susan G. Komen during its October month-long campaign to support breast cancer services, awareness and finding a cure—bringing the two-year total donation to $48,250. The check was presented on December 5, 2014 at the Susan G. Komen headquarters in Dallas. The charitable gift from Gehan Homes represents the efforts of its associates and customers across Texas and Arizona.
“We were so moved and impressed by the outpouring of support for Susan G. Komen among our associates and customers,” said Tim Gehan, CEO of Gehan Homes. “It confirmed to us that our decision to support Susan G. Komen was one that resonated with our customers and our employees.”
For the second year, Gehan Homes pledged to make a donation to Susan G. Komen for every home sold during the month of October, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The donation was the result of the outpouring of support of the associates and customers of Gehan Homes. In addition to the corporate donation, Gehan Homes’ employees participated in Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure events across Texas.
