Builder Takes Home Four Awards from the Texas Association of Builders
Brightland Homes is celebrating with four awards from the Texas Association of Builders. The builder of new homes was recognized with distinctive Star Awards for Best Product Design, Best Kitchen Design, Best Specialty Room, and Best Bathroom Design.
Hosted annually for the past 30 years by the Texas Association of Builders (TAB), the Star Awards recognize “excellence in all areas of the residential construction industry.” With several hundred entries each year representing home builders across Texas and the Southwest, a Star Award is a considerable achievement.
Brightland Homes’ Meridian floor plan took home honors for Best Product Design. From the builder’s Journey Series of plans, the Meridian features soaring ceilings, an open-concept kitchen, and smart use of space. The floor plan wowed the judges, which took home the top honor. The Meridian features 2,100 base square feet of living space with personalized options allowing home buyers to choose from 4-5 bedrooms and 3-4 baths.
The Meridian floor plan can be found across several of Brightland Homes’ Texas communities.
Brightland Homes is well known by consumers for having beautifully designed kitchens, so it was fitting that the builder took home the Star Award for Best Kitchen Design. Featured in this category was the Tulane floor plan. The kitchen in this plan is configured to allow for a radius island, offering an extended prep and seating area, ideal for entertaining. The unique layout of the kitchen allows an open and inviting space that serves as a stunning centerpiece for the home.
Entries for this award were judged on the overall design, quality of construction, and creativity of the kitchen’s space.
Family rooms are where life happens in the home. Brightland Homes family rooms are open, stylish, and comfortable for everyday life. The Tulane plan was chosen as a judge’s favorite for Best Specialty Room with its hallmark corner fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and open layout.
Design, craftsmanship, and use of space were just some of the judging criteria for this award.
With today’s busy lives and hectic schedules, the designers at Brightland Homes know that a spa-like bathroom tops the list of features their customers are looking for. A well-designed primary bathroom offers a retreat at the end of the day and a space to energize each morning. The builder was honored with the Best Bathroom Design award for submitting their model home in Castlegate. The community is located in the Brightland Homes Houston division in the city of College Station.
Judges awarded this category based on style, functionality, and layout.
This year’s awards represented the 30th year the Texas Association of Builders hosted the event.
