Every year, Wonderland Homes is honored to help support HomeAid Colorado in the Builders for Babies drive by collecting diapers for families in need.
Unfortunately, this year the critical need for diapers is exacerbated by the current pandemic. For that reason, HomeAid has kicked off the event early to help meet the increased demand.
Wonderland Homes is looking to donate at least 60,000 diapers to the cause this year, through the support of our families, friends, trade partners, and customers. The diapers most needed are sizes 4, 5, 6 and pull-ups. That said, families need diapers of every size, so any size donated will make a big difference to a baby in need!
This year, HomeAid Colorado is partnering with ABBY & FINN, a Colorado-owned company, to simplify the process and distribution. The customized HomeAid Colorado landing page on their website will allow you to associate Wonderland Homes with your purchase at checkout and will take care of making sure the most important sizes are included with your donation.
Abby & Finn have pledged to donate an extra 100,000 diapers when you purchase through them. The overall goal for the HomeAid Colorado chapter in 2020 is 1.2 Million diapers! You don’t have to purchase from Abby and Finn but to alleviate a further shortage in the marketplace. However, diapers from any manufacturer will be accepted during this drive.
Normally, Builders for Babies is a one-day collection event. This year, we are kicking off early to help address the dire need for diapers for struggling families. If distancing restrictions are lifted, this year’s event will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020, at Empower Field at Mile High.
Participating companies and individuals are encouraged to drop off their donations between 10 am – 12 pm. All donations collected during this campaign will be distributed to our nonprofit partners that focus on alleviating poverty and ending homelessness.
Again, for 2020, we kicked the drive off earlier to meet the dire shortage. Diapers purchased now will be allocated to diaper banks around Colorado in a timely manner.
