Gehan Homes was ranked the 12th fastest-growing middle market company in North Texas for 2017. The annual ranking is published by the Dallas Business Journal. It ranks the fastest-growing companies in Dallas-Fort Worth with annual revenue of $25 million to $750 million, based on revenue growth over a three-year period.
When Dallas-based Gehan Homes Ltd. decided to sell its remaining company shares to Sumitomo Forestry America, a subsidiary of Japan’s fourth-largest domestic builder, last April — the builder decided to hit into high-gear for massive growth.
The added financial strength gives Gehan Homes the ability to be more aggressive in land acquisitions and be better positioned for future growth, said President and CEO John Winniford, who was named to the helm of the building company upon the close of Sumitomo’s acquisition.
