As fighting in Ukraine continues, the Red Cross is providing lifesaving aid to those in need — both in the country and in neighboring areas. Since the fighting in Ukraine began, nearly 3 million people have fled the country in search of safety and shelter. In the past month, the American Red Cross has provided the following aid to families in the Ukraine:
- Nearly 100,000 food and hygiene parcels
- More than 32 tons of food, blankets, medicines, and household items
- First aid training and critical care items to people in metro stations and bomb shelters
Gehan Homes has made sizable donations to the American Red Cross since 2017. Most recently, the company donated $50,000 to the nonprofit organization to support local North Dallas communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
