BUILDER, a publication of Hanley Wood Media, released its exclusive annual rankings of the top home building companies in the US, the BUILDER 100. Gehan Homes climbed the list in 2020, coming in as the 26 th largest homebuilder in the nation. Gehan Homes additionally ranked as the 10th largest privately-owned homebuilder listed. These are the highest rankings achieved in the company’s history, a testament to the company’s focus on increased market share and aggressive revenue goals.
The BUILDER 100 is based on a comprehensive survey of home building companies and is ranked by annual home closings, for the previous year. In 2019, Gehan Homes closed a total of 2,420 new homes in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston and Phoenix, Arizona. The firm reported $796 million in annual gross revenue.
“We expanded our product segmentation in order to realize meaningful growth in our existing footprint,” said John Winniford, Chief Executive Officer. “This coupled with our associate’s ability to execute a high level afforded us the ability to gain market share in 2019.”
Gehan Homes boasts more than 100 new home communities across the Lone Star State and Arizona, operating under the Gehan Homes and Gray Point Homes brands. Recent recognition and awards include a top spot in the Dallas Business Journal’s Middle Market 50, several PRISM Awards, Texas Association of Builders STAR Awards including Builder of the Year and the 2019 Houzz Award for Customer Service.
