Builder Magazine released its 2021 Builder 100 List, which ranks the top 100 homebuilders in the US based on home closings. Gehan Homes was named as the 25th largest homebuilder in the nation, improving its position from number 26 in 2020. Gehan Homes additionally ranked as the 9th largest privately owned homebuilder in the US.
The BUILDER 100 is based on a comprehensive survey of home building companies. The ranking is the housing industry's premier list of the largest U.S. home builders and includes both private and public builders—along with information on where and what they build—and ranks them by annual closings, for the previous year.
In 2020, Gehan Homes closed a total of 3,053 new homes in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston and Phoenix, Arizona, earning the builder a Top 25 spot in the rankings. The company further expanded homebuilding operations into the Denver, Colorado market in 2021.
