The community was self-developed by Gehan Homes and the purchase represents the company’s desire to continue to diversify its product offering and increase market share. “Gehan Homes is pleased to announce the opening of Stonegate. With the scarcity of land for future residential lots located within Coppell ISD, we are experiencing a high level of interest,” said Spencer Wilson, Dallas Division President for Gehan Homes. “The location is well insulated from a potential oversupply of inventory, giving us confidence in the demand for new homes in this submarket.” The move is indicative of the homebuilder’s aggressive investment in land and lots across all five of their markets. “The Stonegate development is a further indication of our commitment to the DFW market as well as expanding our presence in all five markets. Since transitioning to a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Forestry of America two years ago; we have systematically increased our investment across all platforms. Driven by increased focus on acquisition combined with recent product diversification we look forward to gaining market share as the cycle continues to mature,” said John Winniford, CEO of Gehan Homes. The Dallas area community is located within the Coppell ISD attendance zone, one of the most desirable places to attend public school in DFW. Gehan Homes developed an entirely new line of luxury plans to target the growing number of workers that desire a short commute to the DFW airport, Las Colinas, and downtown Dallas. Six all new floorplans are available ranging from 2400 SF to over 3750 SF.
