Dallas-based home builder Gehan Homes announces the company’s entry into the Phoenix market. This marks the first time in the company’s history that they have established home building operations outside of Texas.

Gehan Homes will build new homes in Surprise, Peoria and Gilbert; all located within the Phoenix, Arizona metro area. The company will offer a new line of homes consisting of 12 new floor plans with 36 distinctive elevations designed specifically for the Phoenix new home market. These never-before-seen homes range from 2,000 to over 4,000 square feet. The company will debut its new homes in Surprise, Arizona in early 2013.

“We are excited to bring our 25 years of home building expertise to the Phoenix market,” said Tim Gehan, CEO. “We have developed a new series of homes that offer distinctive features and a variety of personalized options that Gehan Homes is known for.” Gehan Homes selected the Phoenix market due to factors pointing to its future economic growth and the strong demographics of the area. Tim Gehan also said, “The recovery in the Phoenix market has taken hold and we felt like now was a great time to enter the Phoenix market.”

Gehan Homes is the nation’s 27th largest homebuilder, operating in over 60 communities across the 4 major Texas markets where it builds new homes in Dallas - Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio. Gehan Homes is projected to begin construction in an additional 30 Texas communities in 2013 and has several other Phoenix-area projects under consideration. “New home demand continues to be strong across Phoenix and all of our Texas markets,” said Tim Gehan. “Our commitment to building high-quality homes in desirable locations will continue to fuel our growth throughout 2013 and beyond.”
